GRIT Heroes

August 2019

Jacob Gross – has earned two chips for one specific event. The men’s toilet was clogged for TWO DAYS and was so backed up that the restroom was considered “Hazardous”. Jacob took it upon himself to find the proper tools necessary and worked up the courage to clean up the mess. From what I understand it was not a pretty sight. #SuperPooper

Sam Wheeler – has earned a chip for his outstanding initiative! He takes on the challenge of CAC and the customers that go along with that territory. Recently we had a glitch in the system and all the internal fees were erased. Sam immediately got it handled and business continued as usual!

Alex Hankins – Alex earned a chip recently for something a little outside the box. He organized and is the commissioner of out Indy Auto Man fantasy football league. While not exactly work-related, Alex has brought together multiple departments while building comradery and a little healthy competition amongst all involved. Also, I guess “Mint Shirt Wednesdays” are a thing.

August Survey results

“We are making some progress. I can see it. Let’s keep it up.” – Unknown Indy Auto Man Team Member

It was great to see 1.49 improvement in overall satisfaction (we are at 48.3 out of 60) and 0.49 improvement in recognition (3.64 out of 5) for doing good work.

June survey resulted in:

  • Working on a monthly company newsletter
  • Organizing Tailgate at Lucas Oil Stadium (date TBA)
  • Implementing Level 10 meetings in all departments to take everyone’s opinion into consideration and enhance communication.
  • Still working on perfecting communication in CRM.
  • Upcoming commitments are in the areas we are struggling the most: progress tracking and recognizing good work.

The October survey will be coming out on Friday. As always we are looking for 100% participation. Please submit your responses as soon as possible, so we can start working on improvements faster.

It was really nice to hear a happy voice on the other end of the line.
