Tesla has officially announced the postponement of the Cybertruck electric pickup  production from 2022 to 2023, as the company strives to make it more affordable. Thus, the top management confirmed the rumors that have been circulating in recent weeks about another delay.

Information had already appeared that the manufacturer had postponed the Cybertruck debut. However, the car’s appearance announcement had been expected at the beginning of this year. The reasons for such terms adjustments can be global problems with a shortage of semiconductors and logistics or purely engineering miscalculations and difficulties with a unique exoskeleton frame. At the same time, there are also production problems – the development of the Model Y crossover at the new Gigafactory Texas plant, where the Cybertruck should be assembled. Now all forces have been put into launching a popular model to meet the existing demand.

The company still suffers from supply-chain issues, so Tesla was forced to raise the price of their models earlier this month.
